My Wonderful Days App Reviews

My most-used app

I have been using this app on my iPhone every single day for the last five months. Ive just installed the non-iOS version, and Im loving it too. My entries sync seamlessly across both versions through iCloud. The interface is fun, attractive, engaging, and easy to use. It can also also export entries as emails or PDFs as extra backup. This is the best way to keep a daily journal that I have ever used, including the text files and handwritten notebooks I have used over the years. Get it!

The Best !!

Seen a lot - but needed a diary app, syncing with the Iphone, which keeps it simple to collect thoughts, pictures of the day and how you feel. This is the one - addiction guaranteed. Just a small itch sometimes in syncing between iMac and iPhone (date 22.01.2013 is double).

AMAZING!

Out of all the diary apps, this one is by far my favourite! its way too good - it gives me all i want! You can choose the weather and your mood and mark it as important and revisit it later. You can also easily print your entries, password protect them and sync that data to your phone! so glad i bought it. totally worth it :)

Excellent for CBT Exercise and documenting life in general!

For those that have heard of CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) one great daily exercise that Dr. Martin Seligman talks about is documenting 3 blessings every day. Dr. Andrew Weil speaks highly of it as well in his book Spontaneous Happiness. It is amazing how it truly helps improve overall mood/thought process for those that suffer from mild/moderate bouts of depression. You write about the 3 blessings and with each one you note WHY it was a blessing. I have found the My W Days is an excellent app for this task and that fact that it syncs for me across all devices iPhone 5, iPad 2 and MacBook Air is awesome. So the app is ready when I need it and am able to truly document daily blessings and also document things/moments/thoughts that are important to me in my everyday life. Suggestion for future update: I would love the ability to add more than 1 image to a post. Great App and highly recommend!

DOES NOT SYNC ICLOUD CORRECTLY

I bought the iphone and mac versions to sync with iCloud. But only the iPhone/ipad syncs with iCloud. The Mac version does not sync with iCloud. I have followed all the instructions but it still does not sync with Mavericks OS on the Mac !!

Great interface, but no luck with Cloud Syncing

I was excited to see that an OS X version of this App was available. I have used the iOS version of Wonderful Days on my iPhone for 2 years now. On the phone, I love the interface,… easy to use, covers all the bases with Weather/Mood/Location awareness of photos. Unlike some other very highly rated Journal Apps, Wonderful Days on the iPhone can insert as many pictures as desired and in the order you wish them within the body of your writing. Backing them up to PDF and exporting the PDF’s thru iTunes is effortless. Unfortunately, the OS X version of this App did not bring joy,… Sync between the two platforms is something I have yet to achieve. The Sync set up infact makes the two OS versions seem like different Apps. The iOS version directs you to sync through Evernote. The OS X version has a checkbox for iCloud. The two have yet to meet. I backed up my phone journals to PDF and to Evernote. They failed to sync to my laptop. I deleted the iOS App and reinstalled,… now it will not sync with and restore my files backed up to Evernote (?). I have typed new journal entries on both OS versions,… neither shows on the other platform. I have pursued the solutions referred to on the support page. This is very frustrating. I love this App and hope the developers can fix. If they can, I suspect it could be a major contender for this App Category. Best of luck & thanks for listening.

Couldn’t be installed after update.

As described in title.

Excellent but with a different twist than Day One

Day One is probably the journal to measure all others by. This is excellent but with a slightly different twist. I would say it gets at your feelings more directly and yet subtley. By scaling your feelings your can look back on your mood; how it is; if it’s bad is it progressing; if your taking an antidepressant or tranquillizers are they helping. By tagging, you get at more of the feeling states. Thus, this is an excellent journal and all that are therapists and people in therapy should be using and for that matter anyone who wants to journal. The only thing I’d do is increase the brief descriptor line to two lines so you know if that day might be the day you’re looking for. Other than this very small thing, this approach is excellent.

Sync NEVER works

I hate this app. I got it for my iPhone/ipad as well as my Macbook Pro and it NEVER syncs properly. I have have diffent entries on each device, they will sync and then their gone! So I have some here, some there. Total crap.

It does not work anymore

After the latest update it keeeps crashing and I cannot open it. I have lost all of my previous journals! I am going back to MacJournal.

iCloud Sync not working on my MAC.

Well I read the reviews and read the update log about what was changed recently. iCloud sync was supposed to be fixed. However it does not work on my MAC but seems to be connected on my iPhone. Rather disappointing and also the creators site does not exist from what I can tell. It keeps displaying Forbidden. I think I may have just wasted my money on the MAC and iPhone app. It’s a great app. However it does not live up to it’s claim of iCloud sync. Hoping they will contact me because I have no way of getting thru to them. Not sure what to do now.

App is not working!

I have use it for a long time and loved it! now with the new update I cant get it, keep close in it every time!!!! please help!!!

Nice!

A really nice app! Please, make a possibility to change line spacing of font.

Wonderful Days - wonderful app

I love this app, but I would make use of a bit of customization (e.g. background, font size, etc.)

Synch doesnt work

There are 2 nice apps - for iphone and mac, I like them a lot. But they dont work together. I followed suggestins of support team, but I still cant see posts from iPhone on my laptop.

Great!

This app has everything I need! Thanks for iCloud sync

Simple to Use and Great Support

Ive had this app for about three months. It is simple to use, has a clean interface, and has a quick search function. You can add pictures, but I dont use that feature much. I like the way it lets me be in control: you can go back and edit a day already entered, you can change the initial text, you can copy text into it easily, and you can write on future dates. I use it on my Mac desktop and on my iPad, with iCloud. To top it off, when the password feature did not allow me to access My Wonderful Days and I didnt find what I wanted in the support documentation online, I contacted the developer via email and received a clear, concise response within HOURS, not days, that completely resolved the issue.

Wonderful Diary App!

If you are looking for a simple to use, wonderfully elegant diary appllicat My Wonderful Days is the app to get. It syncs seamlessly syncs across all of your devices so that you can note your day as you live it. Enjoy!!

DO NOT TRUST

I spent hours transferring my journals from the notes application to My Wonderful Days. It is the perfect app, except it is highly insecure! I was randomly searching through my computer and haphazardly discovered that my journals were stored in a .entry file, which turned out to be a JSON blob of data! A) No wonder this application is slow when syncing, searching or scrolling through, JSON is not sufficient a database!! B) This is as horrible as storing it in plain text!! Any attacker or snoop could bypass whatever access controls the application and grab/edit/destroy all of these files!! Devs, DO NOT WASTE TIME FIXING THIS!

I like this app but...

All things I like are: interface is super clean and easy to use, calender included, and photo/camera option is a PLUS! I do wish there were additional emotion indicators beyond happy and angry. There’s obviously more feelings than the 2 ranges: surprised, sad, scared, laughter, etc. Final critique is that even though I paid for the FULL version, I’m not able to see it on my iPhone 5S or iPad 2 which is what I really was looking forward to writing into..day to day thoughts that I carry on those 2 devices. Any suggestions???
